Step Wise Punjab Police Constable Selection Explanation in Details
Stage 1 Computer Based test
This test consists of a multiple choice question paper. Candidates are asked to answer 150 questions. Each question will have four options. Applicant have to choose right option among the four.
Topics of the Computer Based test are as follows
- General awareness 40 marks
- Quantitative aptitude and numerical skills 30 marks
- Mental ability and logical ability 30 marks
- English language test 10 marks
- Punjabi language test 10 marks
- Digital literacy and computer awareness 30 marks
This Computer Based test examination will be conducted on different dates. Every candidate will be issued an admit card indicating the date of exam, time of exam duration of exam. No negative marking will be for wrong answers.

Stage 2: It contains 3 Sub stages as following
- Document scrutiny- In this phase of selection documents of the candidate are checked. Bring all original documents which were mentioned while filling online application form. The officials will check and confirm them. Also bring at least three copies of your documents for submission.
- Physical measurement test PMT- understood after reading the heading that this sound will measure physique of the applicant. Here height measurements is done. This test will be qualifying in nature. Height requirements are different for male and female candidates. see the picture below.
- Physical Screening Test (PST): This test is also qualifying in nature. Sub rounds of this test includes
For males
- 800 metre race in 4 minutes
- Long jump of 2.75 metres. Three chances are provided
- High jump of 0.90 M with 3 chances provider
Female candidates screening test requirements
- 400 metre race to be completed in 2 minutes
- Long jump of 1.80 metres. Three chances will be provided.
- High jump of 0.75 m with 3 chances provided.
