Odisha Govt. Launches ‘Ama Gaon, Ama Vikas’ Programme

Government of Odisha has introduced Ama Gaon, Ama Vikas programme. The programme name means “Our Village, our development”. It aims to approach rural areas population and to involve them in development activities. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also flagged off mobile video vans under Ama Gaon, Ama Vikas programme, which will move across the state to aware people about various schemes of government for villages.


Haryana launches e-learning app for students making them more prone to digitalization

Haryana state launched e-learning app ‘Meri e-Pustak’ for students making them more prone to digitalization. The app has been developed by Haryana State Council of Educational Research and Training. It has also started testing of another app which is developed for training teacher online.


Odisha launched KHUSHI Scheme To Provide Free Sanitary Pads

Odisha Cjief Minister Naveen Patnaik has launched KHUSHI Scheme in the state under which state govt will provide free Sanitary pads to school girls of state. The free sanitary pads scheme of Odisha will be covering 17 lakh girls of state starting from class 6th to 12. It will be available in government and government aided schools across Odisha.

KHUSHI Scheme will be implemented by state’s health and family welfare department. A budget of rs 70 Crore per year will be spent on the scheme.

Karnataka Unveils Healthcare Scheme ‘Arogya Karnataka’

Siddaramaiah (CM of Karnataka) unveiled ‘Arogya Karnataka’ (Healthy Karnataka) scheme in the state. The healthcare scheme Arogya Karnataka will be aiming to provide quality primary, secondary and tertiary treatment to people of state whether below below-poverty-line (BPL) or above poverty line (APL). The new health scheme is expected to benefit about 1.43 crore households of Karnataka.

Under the initiative, Karnataka government will offer free of cost of treatment at at government hospitals for people below poverty line. Whereas for people who are above poverty line, govt will bear about 30 per cent of treatment cost.

Arogya Karnataka scheme is expected to be completely implemented in whole state by December this year as per the Budget.


Indian Military ranked Fourth in World by Global Firepower

India is gaining strength from its defence point of view and the same has been reflected in the recent ranking of Global Firepower. Global Firepower has ranked Indian military at fourth place in terms of global military prowess. The index was prepared considering 133 countries militaries.
