 Hubballi Railway Station to become World’s Largest

The Hubballi railway station of Karnataka state is about to become largest railway station in the world. It will have a length of 1505 meters. Currently Gorakhpur railway station is world’s largest with 1366 meters length. The inauguration will be done in March 2021.

 Bajaj is world’s most valuable two wheeler company

Indian two wheeler company Bajaj has become best in the world. The company is now world’s most valuable two wheeler company. It crossed a market capitalization of more than Rs. 1 lakh crore, on January 01, 2021.

Sagarmala Seaplane Services to start

Ministry of sports, shipping and waterways will start Sagarmala Seaplane Services project to provide air connectivity to numerous tourist, religious, remote and unexplored locations near water bodies. The project will make the journey more easy and comfortable. It is the faster and comfortable transport in India.

ADB signs $100 million loan Project with Bengaluru

 Asian Development Bank has signed a loan agreement with Bengaluru of $100 million. The loan is given to boost and improve power supply in the city. The loan amount will be utilised under Bengaluru Smart Energy Efficient Power Distribution Project.

 NHRC  Recommendations on Manual Scavengers

National Human Rights Commission recently made recommendations to achieve Zero Manual Scavenging in the country. In the report NHRC stated that although many states already claimed that they have achieved zero manual scavenging but, ground reality tells something else.

According to recommendations of NHR, Rehabilitation process for manual scavengers should be made better by linking it with various schemes. It also recommended that scavengers must be paid Rs. 1 lakhs as one time compensation amount. Currently they are paid Rs. 40,000/-.

 Sanjay Kapoor was elected president of the All India Chess Federation (AICF). Bharat Singh Chauhan will continue to the post of secretary.

Indian Army Sings Contract with Goa Shipyard

A new contract was signed by Indian Army with Goa Shipyard Company to buy 12 Fast Patrol Boats for surveillance and patrolling. These boats will be used in areas like large water bodies, including those in high altitude areas like Pangong Tso lake in Ladakh.

The boats are built in India. Will be delivered by May 2021. Was necessary to buy such fast patrolling boats for Pangong Tso lake due to rise in military tensions between India and China.
