ICICI Bank will Provide Rs. 10 Crore Aid to Armed Forces

India’s largest private bank in terms of assets has decided to provide Rs. 10 Crore financial assistance to Indian Armed Forces. The contribution will be used in welfare activities of family members of the ex-servicemen who lost their lives while gruarding the nation.

Highlights of ICICI Bank Aid to Armed Forces

The amount will be given in two tranches first in this year and next tranche in next year.

First tranche of Rs. 5 Crore was delivered by MD & CEO, ICICI Bank – Chanda Kochar to Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman at a function in the Raksha Mantralaya.


Standard Chartered Bank opened Global Business Services (GBS) at Bengaluru

Standard Chartered Bank has opened its Global Business Services (GBS) at Bengaluru to improve its services for attracting best minds available locally to redefine banking for the world. The channel will complement bank’s currently GBS centers in functioning in China, India, and Malaysia.

Highlights of Global Business Services (GBS):

GBS will provide deliver support, client due diligence and advisory services to corporate customers of Standard Chartered Bank.


International Day for Girl Child Observed Worldwide on 11 October

International Day for Girl Child has been observed all over the world on 11 October 2017. It was started from 11 October 2017 with an aim to support for more opportunities to girl child and to increase the awareness about Gender inequality faced by girl child globally.

So, today let us all take a decision to promote the initiative so that girls could also get better access to education, nutrition, legal rights, medical care, and protection from discrimination and violence and could be freed from child marriage.


Union Government Approved Rs. 2000 Crore for Setting New Aadhaar units in Post offices

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Union Government has approved Rs. 2000 Crore to set up new Aadhaar card centers at post offices to make the enrolment process easy for people.

Total 15,000 post offices will be having Aadhaar card centers inside them till March, 2018.

The machines used at post office’s Aadhaar card centers will be Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) approved
