Odisha govt Introduces Mukhyamantri Kalakar Sahayata Yojana for artists

To encourage the artists in Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has introduced a new scheme named as Mukhyamantri Kalakar Shayata Yojna (MMKSJ). The scheme will benefit total 50,000 artists of the state. As per the scheme, state government of Odisha will provide a monthly help of Rs. 1200 to the artists. Government has also made changes to eligibility criteria to avail the MMKSJ scheme so that the benefit could reach up to more number of artists.

As per the changed rules for availing MMKSJ scheme, male artists now can get the scheme benefits after they attain the age of 50 years. Earlier this limit was 60 years.

For female artists the minimum age to get the financial assistance of Rs 1200 under MMKSJ scheme is 40 years. Earlier it was 50 years for females.
