Important Information: Candidates please not that for the Resident Citizen Police/ आरक्षी नागरिक पुलिस posts under up police bharti, both male and female candidates can apply. But second posts that is Reserved Territorial Armed Constabulary/ आरक्षी प्रादेशिक आर्म्ड कॉन्स्टेबुलरी are only for male candidates. Female candidates are not eligible to apply under the second posts.
UP police vacancy 2018
Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limits: Age limits for the candidates applying should be as under as on 1st July 2018.
Minimum Age limit: 18 years
Maximum Age limit for males: 22 Years
Maximum age limit for Females: 25 years
As per the age limits for males in UP police bharti 2018, Candidates must be born between 2nd July 1996 and after 1st July 2000 (Both dates inclusive). For female candidates minimum age limits are same which is 18 years but, the maximum limit of age for female candidates is 25 years. Female candidates must be born between 2nd July 1993 and 1st July 2000.

Educational Qualifications
To apply, candidates need to have passed at least intermediate from government recognized board.

UP police recruitment 2018 Selection Process
UP police bharti board selection process will go through three steps as below. First there will be a written test followed by the documents verification and PST (Physical standards Tests) will be the last one. A candidate will have to qualify in each of the three sections below:

UP police vacancy: physical test details
Physical measurement details For males:
Height requirement:
- At least 168 cm height required for candidates from General/BC/OBC/SC categories
- For ST category candidates 160 cm height required minimum.
Chest measurement details:
- For General/BC/OBC/SC : Chest should be at least 79 cm without expansion and 84 cm with expansion.
- For ST candidates: Minimum chest measurement without expansion should be 77 cm and after expansion chest measurements should be 82 cm.
Please note that there should be minimum expansion of 5 cm which is compulsory to qualify in UP police chest measurement test.

Minimum Height requirement:
For female candidates from General/BC/OBC/SC categories : 152 cm
For ST candidates: 147 cm
Weight: At least 40 Kilogram
After the candidates clear the up police physical test, There will be a running test which will be qualifying in nature and is compulsory for both male and female candidates. The details of test are as under:
Males: A running of 4.8 Kms to be completed in 25 minutes by the male candidates
Females: A running of 2.4 Kms to be completed within 14 minutes.

New Rules
Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has made changes in the rules of recruitment in police jobs in UP. In the previous cases the department was selecting the candidates on the basis of physical test and written test. But now the selection procedure has bee modified after the meeting of CM of UP with other members. Now the selection will be made on the basis of written test conducted by up police bharti board. The documents verification and PST test will only be qualifying in nature but are compulsory for candidates to be eligible for final selection.
