Subsidy On Fertilizers Increased By GOI

Subsidy On Fertilizers Increased By GOI

Government of India has decided to raise subsidy on fertilizers. As per report the increase is around 140 per cent. Earlier government of India was giving subsidy of Rs.500/- per bag. Now after increase, new subsidy on fertilizers is now Rs.1200 per bag. It is a good step of GOI as prices of fertilizers are going high with pace.

Why Price of Fertilizers Increasing?

Pries of ammonia, phosphoric acid etc are increasing at international level. This is impacting our fertilizers price also as these are used in fertilizers.

How much will it Cost now?

The farmer was earlier getting as  bag at Rs.1200/- when no price was increased. The actual price of one bag of fertilizer is now Rs. 2400/- after price increase. So, the government of India decided to raise subsidy so that extra burden would not go on the shoulders of farmer. The new subsidy on fertilizers is increased in such a way that farmer will get a bag at same price that is Rs. 1200.

With this increase, now the additional burden of Rs 14,775 crores will be on government. But this is good move keeping in view of current situation of farmers in India.
