Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
- SSb Driver – 10th pass from a government recognised board. Candidate must have a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License issued by authority.
- SSB Lab Assistant – At least 10th pass with science and must have done a Lab Assistant Course. Must have obtained certificate also.
- Veterinary Constable – Matric Pass with science as major subject
- Aya- 10th passed, first aid exam pass certificate from red cross society / should be trained Dai with 1-year experience in the relevant field
For Carpenter, Plumber, Painter and Other
- Matriculation or equivalent pass, two years work experience in respective trade

SSB Constable Selection Process 2021
A three stage selection process will be conducted to finalise candidates. Applicants have to qualify in all rounds of selection for the SSB Tradesman. They must be fit mentally as well as physically also.
Round 1: First selection phase itself has two sub sections. It involves doing measurements and efficiency checking against predefined rules.
i) Physical Standard Test (PST)
ii) Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Rules for both tests are explained in separate section. These are different depending on applicant (male or female).
Round 2: A written exam of 100 marks.
Round 3: Trade/ Specialty Test
Nationality:
Person should be a citizen of India, Nepal or Bhutan to be eligible for constable posts of Driver, Veterinary, Carpenter, Plumber, painter in SSB.

SSB Constable Bharti Final Selection
Final merit list of selected candidates will be prepared on the basis of written test performance. Candidate has to get minimum qualification marks set as mentioned in SSB Constable Recruitment Notification. The officials will decide minimum cut off marks based on number of qualified candidates.
Minimum Passing Marks percentage:
- General, EWS, OBC, & Ex-Servicemen Candidates: At least 50% Marks
- SC, ST Candidates have to get 40% marks
SSB Constable Pay Scale
Each selected candidate will be paid salary as per Pay Matrix of Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100 which is level-3 according to 7th CPC.
