India will Help Nigeria to be self-sufficient in agriculture

India is going to help Nigeria in making country self-sufficient in agriculture. India will share their expertise with the Nigeria and will help to boost Agricultural productivity.

Indian Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh in his statement said that India noted with great interest the new initiatives of Nigeria particularly the Green Alternative initiative-a road map to make Nigeria self-sufficient in agriculture.

Indian companies to explore the opportunities in Nigerian agriculture field both as investors as well as providers of agri-services, agricultural machinery and technological assistance.


Nakul Chopra is Elected as new BARC India Chairman

Nakul Chopra, President of AAAI and Senior Advisor, Public Communications is elected as the next Chairman of BARC India. He will be succeeding Viacom18 Group CEO Sudhanshu Vats. Nakul is going to be third Chairman of BARC India. He had joined the BARC India Board in September 2016.


USA President Donald signs USD 692 billion defence budget

US President Donald Trump signed a 692 billion dollar defence budget, which among other things gives funding to provide legislative authority to implement his South Asia strategy and authorises critical missile capabilities to confront threats posed by North Korea.

The National Defence Authorisation Act (NDAA) authorises 626 billion dollars of the base budget resources for the Department of Defence and the national security programs of the Department of Energy, providing an additional 66 billion for Overseas Contingency Operations.


Shubhankar Sharma Won Joburg Open

Shubhankar Sharma a 21-year-old Indian Golfer has claimed European Tour victory in the Joburg Open, held at South Africa by defeating South African Erik Van Rooyen.

This is Shubhankar Sharma’s maiden European Tour victory . Before this title he has shown great game at India level and have five victories on the professional tour of India and he now has a European Tour title to add to his list of achievements. Marcus Armitage from England was the top British finisher in Joburg.


Bihar Government Launched Safe City Surveillance scheme for Women Safety

In an intitiative to reduce increasing crimes against women in Bihar state, the Bihar government has came up with Safe City Surveillance Scheme. This scheme will be checking crimes against women.

As the name suggests it is a surveillance scheme under which all major public places will be put under watch of close-circuit television (CCTV) cameras and improve overall crime control in the state.

The scheme will run in phased manner and is started from capital city Patna.


AIIB grants 1st loan to China to reduce dependence on coal

AIIB (Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank) has given approval to its first loan and its the China who is getting the Loan from AIIB to reduce country’s dependence on coal. With the help of this loan China will be building building a natural gas distribution network for villages and will reduce dependence on coal by over 600,000 tonnes annually. Currently China is the largest shareholder in AIIB.
