Australia’s Melbourne cricket ground will host the finals of men’s and Women’s 2020 World T20 tournaments. The announcement regarding this was made by organisers on last Tuesday.
Women’s semi-finals will be held at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) whereas men’s semi-final matches will take place at Sydney and Adelaide. Women pool matches will be played at venues Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Canberra. This is for the first time that both tournaments are being organized in same country in same year.
Women T20 tournament will be starting from Feb, 21 and will end on March 8, 2020. Total 10 women teams of different countries will participate to win this mega speedy cricket event. On the other hand, men’s tournament will start from Oct. 18 and will be held till 15th of November.
The best part of the final of the women T20 match is that it will be coinciding with International Women’s Day. Because of the occasion, International Cricket Council (ICC) is hoping it to witness record attendance.
