Dilip Chenoy as Director General of FICCI

Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Ficci) has appointed Dilip Chenoy new Director General of FICCI on 22/01/2018. Earlier Chenoy had been working as managing director and CEO of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) from where he resigned in 2015. He has also worked as DG of Society of Indian Automobile Manufactures (Siam) as well as deputy director general of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

As FICCI DG Dilip Chenoy will handle day-to-day administrative affairs of the body whereas all other overall operations will be taken care by secretary-general Sanjaya Baru.

Mr. Arvind Prasad was previous director general of FICCI. Arvind got retired in 2016 two years back and since then the DG of FICCI position was lying vacant.

FICCI is an Indian organization of businesses in India which was established back in 1927 by GD Birla and Purushottam Das Thakurdas. It is also one of the largest and oldest organization of businesses in India. Having FICCI headquarter is in Delhi, the organisation serves whole country with having more than 2,500,000 member companies (directly and indirectly). The presence is worldwide in eight countries and in India alone it has centers in 12 states.
