Uttar Pradesh Government Launches DASTAK Campaign In Association With UNICEF

UP government has launched DASTAK ‘Darwaja Khatkhatao, AES aur JE ko bhagao’ campaign in association with UNICEF in the state. The campaign is started to fight and eradicate two serious diseases Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) and Japanise Encephalitis (JE) disease from the state. Under the campaign state machinery will approach people from 38 JES and AE affected districts by visiting to their homes. In UP most cases of JES and AE are in Tarai region.


Government launches Start-up-India ranking framework

Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) has launched a Start-up-India ranking framework to rank states and UTs based on their initiatives taken to boost entrepreneurship. It was launched in New Delhi at a function by Union Minister of commerce and Industry. This new ranking framework is also expected to increase competitiveness and to encourage States/UTs to get more involved in the growth of startups.


World’s most powerful rocket launched by SpaceX towards Mars

SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy which is world’s most powerful rocket has taken its debut flight from a Florida launch site where moon missions once began. It is a 23 story tall jumbo rocket which is carrying a cherry red Tesla Roadster from the assembly line of Musk’s electric car company as a mock payload.


Odisha gets highest ever allocation of Rs 5,252 crore for railway projects

Odisha state has get Rs 5,252 Crore for railway projects in the state from the center government in the Budget 2018. This is the highest ever amount received by Odisha from center govt in any budget. Earlier Odisha Chief minister of Odisha had demanded Rs. 6500 crore on January 17 from the government to railway infrastructure development during 2018-19 fiscal. All though the amount allotted is very less than the demanded but it is still 150 crore more than what the state had got from center in previous year’s allocation for railway sector which was Rs 5102 crore.


RBI announced sixth Bi-Monthly Monetary Policy Statement for FY 2017-18

RBI has announced its Sixth Bi-Monthly Monetary Policy Statement for FY 2017-18. This time most of the things have been remained unchanged. Since August,2, 2017, There is no change in Reverse Repo Rate (RRR), Policy Repo Rate(PRR), Marginal Standing Facility Rate, Bank Rate. Cash Reserve Ratio is unchanged since 9th February 2013. Haryana Will establish farmers welfare department

Farmers welfare department will soon be established by Haryana government so as to enhance the productivity in agriculture field,mitigate the distress of farm households, land workers and to make agriculture more remunerative. The announcement was made by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar while interacting with farmers at ‘Ek Aur Sudhar’ programme.


RBI to set up Separate ombudsman for NBFCs

Reserve Bank of India has made an announcement to set up ombudsman for NBFCs to address customer grievances in non-banking finance companies. The rules regarding this will be made by the end of February this month. RBI will first start the facility with NBFCs that take deposits and will soon increase the coverage by adding NBFCs with asset size of Rs 100 crore.


Dubai retains rank as world’s busiest international airport

Dubai International Airport contineuos to be ranked at number one to become world’s busiest airport for international travel. As per the statistcs released by Dubai Airport department, 88.2 million passengers came to the Airport in last year 2017.

The number of international passengers received last year is higher as compared to previous year 2016. In 2016 total 83.6 million passengers were recorded. With this passenger growth pace, Dubai Airports CEO Paul Griffiths expecting to cross 90.3 million passengers in 2018.


Google launches #SecurityCheckKiya campaign

World most popular search engine giant Google has launched a security campaign in India as #SecurityCheckKiya. The aim of the new campaign of Google is the protection of first time users from account hacking, safeguarding their devices from suspicious apps, as well as to secure their personal data.

In this new campaign, Google recommends three simpler steps for using Internet safely. It includes reviewing security settings and Google account activity.


MP government launches “pollution metre” app to spread awareness against pollution

Madhya Pradesh government has launched a new pollution awareness app named as “pollution metre” on 6th Feb, 2018. It will generate awareness on pollution especially for western part of Madhya Pradesh. Using the app users can check the air quality, water and noise pollution in their respective areas.
