Virat Kohli Named ICC Test and ODI Team Captain

Based on the career achievements, Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli named ICC Test and ODI Team Captain. The team also includes four other Indian players. The selection of Kohli as captain of ICC test and ODI teams is because of his wonderful performance throughout his career so far in the cricket. Kohli with his performance and leadership skills has taken India to new heights of success.

The other Indian players included are Cheteshwar Pujara, R Ashwin, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah.

Pujara has been in good form and played some wonderful knocks to confirm his place. He scored 1,914 runs at an average of 63.80. This includes seven centuries, nine half-centuries in 19 matches.

On the other hand Ashwin has bowled well and has bagged 111 wickets at 25.87 average. He as got five wickets in a match for eight times and ten wicket hauls for three times in test cricket. Apart from bowling, Ashwin has also shown his class with bat as he scored 616 runs at 25.66, including five half-centuries.

Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah both have emerged as one of the finest players. Rohit has phenomenal season with bat as he scored six centuries and same number of half centuries in last 26 matches played by him. Recently he scored his third double century in ODI cricket and became the first batsman to do so.

Bumrah is one of the emerging bowler in 2017. He has bagged 45 wickets at 25.68 in 27 matches which also includes a five wicket haul.
