India clinched 16 medals including 4 gold in Commonwealth Shooting Championships

Indian players have been continuously performing well at ongoing Commonwealth Shooting Championships at Gold Coast, Australia. Till now India has bagged 16 medals which includes four gold medals.

On day six of the events, Anish Bhanwala won silver in the men’s 25 metre Rapid Fire Pistol while Neeraj Kumar bagged a bronze in the same event.

Now three among six finalists in the men’s Rapid Fire Pistol are Indians, these are:

  • Anish (Topper with 577 score)
  • Neeraj (Second among six with a score of 575)
  • Olympian Gurpreet Singh (at Fifth position with 566 score)

Among women Gaayathri managed to finish fourth shooting 429.7 and was the best placed among three Indian finalists. Other two Indians Aditi Singh and Tejaswini Sawant finished at sixth and seventh place.
