Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates World Food India Festival 2017 – 800 kgs khichdi will be made

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Inaugurated ‘World Food India Festival 2017‘- a mega event on food on Friday in National Capital New Delhi at Vigyan Bhavan. The festival was organized by Union Ministry of Food Processing Industries under the leadership of Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal. India is hosting such a big food event for the first time.

World Food India Festival 2017 will be a three day event starting from 3rd November, 2017 and will end on 5th November 2017. Almost 7,000 stakeholders from 60 countries will come under one roof at this mega food event. Renowned chef Sanjeev Kapoor and Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev will also be attending the event.

Sanjeev Kapoor will showcase Indian and foreign cuisines by using Indian ingredients, flavours and fragrances Whereas Baba Ramdev will contribute in preparation of Khichdi on November 4.

Preparation of more than 800 kg khichdi live on 4th November will be the main center of attraction of ‘World Food India Festival 2017’. It will be a world record and will help India to promote its healthy dish as brand India food globally.

India is aiming to attract investments in food processing sector up to $10 billion and looking to generate 1 million jobs till year 2020.
