It seems that there is no stopping for Indian weightlifters at Commonwealth games 2018 especially in women category. Punam Yadav from Varanasi who won fifth gold for India at CWG 2018, Australia. She was contesting in 69Kg weight category. This is much better improved performance of Punam as compared to her previous appearance four years back at Glasgow where she got bronze medal. Punam 22 years young girl lifted 95, 98 and 100 in snatch rounds and lifted 118 and 122 in clean and jerk round to make it to gold medal.
The silver medal in the event goes to Sarah Davies of England whereas bronze medal was grabbed by weightlifter Apolonia Vaivai from Fiji.
