Olympic silver medallist PV Sindhu’s name has been recommended for country’s third highest civilian award Padma Bhushan by the sports ministry. The news was confirmed by an official from sports ministry.
There has been no stopping for PV Sindhu after she became first Indian to win a Silver medal at Olympics last year. Since then she has taken part in many tournaments and matches. She has also won bronze medals two times at world championships.

- Indian Open Super Series,
- Bagged a historic silver at the Glasgow World Championship last month
- Claimed her third Super Series title at Korea Open this month
- Sindhu is also three times champion of Macau Open
