Nagpur is going to have Country’s first electric radio cab on 26th of may, 2017. Firstly 200 e-taxis will start working on pilot basis. It will be started from Union Transport minister Nitin Gadkari’s.
The electric vehicles are supplied by Mahindra & Mahindra and state government will take the responsibility of providing charging facilities.

This project is the brainchild of Mr. Nitin Gadkari and is first of its kind. It Will be undertaken by Nagpur Municipal Corporation. Once successful, it is a great step for India and will help country to move towards the goal of going all electric by 2030.
