Kerala, Tamil Nadu Topped While Bihar is Last In PAI

Kerala and Tamil Nadu (South Indian States) have topped in the second year ranking of public affairs index (PAI) in governance in states. Kerala is at the first position while Tamil Nadu is at second place. Gujarat also jumped two places from fifth (in 2016) to third (in 2017) place.

Bihar shown very poor performance and stayed at the bottom. The ranking was released by the retired chief justice of India M.N Venkatachaliah. Along with him other respected personalities who were present at the event were C.K Mathew (Former Chief secretary of Rajasthan), Public affairs centre director G.Gurcharan and former Lokayukta of Karnataka N. Santosh Hegde.

Mizoram got the first place in in small state category followed by Himachal Pradesh (Second place), Delhi(3rd), Sikkim(4th) and Goa(5th).
