Google launches Android Oreo Go edition for low-end phones

Google has launched Android Oreo Go edition for low end devices having memory up to 1 GB. This is the light edition developed with an aim to provide fast processing for phones with Low RAM such as 512 MB or 1 GB maximum. Currently low RAM android smartphones face processing issues, so this Android Oreo will ensure smooth working of low end mobile phones.

Currently Android Oreo Go edition is made available for made available for device manufacturers and developers. It will soon be made available to users also.

Features of Google’s Android Oreo Go edition:

As the name suggests this new Android version will be the lighter one and it will function by saving data, using less storage and optimizing resource use. The apps in the new edition will work 15% faster with other optimizations added.

What will come with Android Oreo Go edition?

The newly launched Android version for low-end phones will be having apps like Google Go, Google Assistant Go, YouTube Go, Google Maps Go, Gmail Go, Gboard, Google Play, Chrome, and Files Go. Google’s data saving feature will be active in it by default.

The new version will provide more controlling power to user by enabling users to limit the amount of data apps use in the background.
