Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) made a huge oil discovery close to Mumbai High in the Arabian Sea

On twentieth September 2017, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) made a huge oil discovery close to Mumbai High in the Arabian Sea.

Oil was found in a well on the west of Mumbai High oil fields in the Arabian Sea.This new oil discovery in well WO-24-3 is expected to have around 20 million tons of oil reserve.

Directorate General of Hydrocarbons (DGH) has been informed by ONGC about the new discovery of oil near Mumbai.

As per the ONGC Senior Official, total nine zones were checked and every one of the nine contained hydrocarbon. The last zone gave out 3,300 barrels of oil. Both oil and gas were found in more deeper zones.

As per the sources the new discovery has been made after 50 years since ONGC started its operation of oil production in Mumbai.

Mumbai High is India’s greatest oil field.It produces 2,05,000 barrels of oil for every day and more than 10 million tons of oil in every year. The new oil well will add to expanded oil creation inside two years.

Currently, Mumbai High alongside other little fields in the western area, produces 16 million tons of oil for every year.This is 44 % of India’s aggregate raw petroleum generation, which is 36 million tons for every year.


Rajkumar Rao Acted Film Newton Chosen As Official Entry to Oscars 2018

Newton film starred by Rajkumar Rao has been chosen as India’s official entry to upcoming Oscar awards in 2018. The film has been as entry in “Best Foreign film category”. Newton is a black comedy movie of Bollywood and is directed by Amit Masurkar.

The declaration in this regard was made on 22 September by Film Federation of India. The film was selected out of 26 entries.

The film is a political parody spinning around an honest election officer’s who endeavour to conduct free and fair elections in a conflicted area of Chhatisgarh. The other stars who have acted in the movie are strs Pankaj Tripathi, Raghubir Yadav and Anjali Patil.


Himachal Pradesh -First Indian state of India to introduce Electrical Bus Service

Himachal Pradesh became the first state of India to introduce electrical bus service in the country. The service of electric bus was flagged off on Thursday for Rohtang Pass, a famous tourist destination near Manali by Transport Minister of Himachal Pradesh G S Bali.

Kalvari First indegeniously Build Scorpene-class handed over to Indian Navy

Kalvari the first indegeniously build Scorpene-class submarine was handed over ti Indian Navy for commisionong Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL). It is the first of the six Scorpene-class submarines to be delivered to Indian Navy.

Kalvari name to indegeniously built submarine is named after the dreaded Tiger Shark, a deadly deep sea predator found in the Indian Ocean. Indian navy is betting on the ‘Make in India’ Scorpene project to sharpen its underwater attack capabilities.

SBI Card to offer Pre-approved cards to SBI Bank Customers

SBI Card, the second biggest credit card offering organization after HDFC, is all ready to offer pre-approved cards to customers of its parent State Bank of India.

It has gone into a tripartite agreement with SBI and India’s first credit bureau TransUnion Cibil to this end. The agreement will allow the credit bureau to check the credentials of SBI customers and SBI Card to leverage the information.
