Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu Laid Foundation Stone of Skill Development Institute on September 16, 2017

India’s Vice President Mr. M Venkaiah Naidu on 16 September lays the foundation stone for New Regional Vocational Training Centre for Women. The foundation stone programme was also attended by Skills development minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

There will be short term courses for students for better opportunities of employment. Total 480 students will be provided skills training. In 2014, an aid of Rs 19.95 crores was provided under former labour minister Bandaru Dattatreya’s observations.

Type of Training to be provided in Skill Development Institute:

The institute will provide training facilities to students to get them trained in different sectors. In its one year course students will be given training in sector like:

  1. Architectural Draughtsmanship
  2. Food and Beverages Services,
  3. Front Office Management, Cosmetology,
  4. Secretarial Practice,
  5. Fashion Design & technology with the recognition of National Council of Vocational Training,
  6. And many more..

First Lithium-Ion Battery Unit of India in Gujarat

Suzuki Motors and its partners from Japan Toshiba and Denso will jointly set up first Lithium-Ion battery unit of India at an investment of Rs. 1,150 Crore. The battery unit will be established in Gujarat state.

This will give a great boost to government of India’s initiatives such as electrifying of vehicles and most ambitious Make in India initiative.

Out of the 100% stakes Suzuki will hold half and 40% and 10% will be owned by Toshiba and Denso respectively.  Click to read more


MoU inked between India and Japan to Set Up India-Japan Act East Forum

An MoU inked between India and Japan for setting up India Japan Act East Forum. The aim of the MoU will be to increase connectivity and to give a boost to the development projects in North eastern part of India. This MoU was the part of the 15 agreements signed between Japan and India during the visit of Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo to take part in 12th annual summit between India and Japan.

Japan has been investing in Northeast India as India and Japan have signed document on Japanese loan and aid for highway development in Northeast which can complement India’s connectivity initiatives in Bangladesh, Myanmar and beyond. A loan of Rs. 2,239 crore has also been extended by Japan.

China has been showing its objections on the investments done by Japan in North-Eastern states of India because there are disputes between India and China in that part. So China is objecting by saying that third parties should not interfere between disputes of India and China.


ZipJet’s No. 1 ranking, least stressful global destination

International technology firm ZipJet has released the list presenting most and least stressful cities of the world. Stuttgart city of Germany with population approximately 625,000 has been declared the less stressful city and toped the list.

The Stuttgart city was followed by Luxembourg (no. 2); Hannover, Germany (no. 3); Bern, Switzerland (no. 4); and Munich, Germany (no. 5).The big surprise of the list was that no American city occupied place in top 10. Even in top 25, only Seattle city of US was able to occupy 12th spot.

Farmers Loans Up to Rs. 50,000 to be Waived by Rajasthan Government

Rajasthan Government has decided to waive farm loans up to an amount of Rs. 50,000. Amount of Rs.20,000 crore has been sanctioned for this after the protest of farmers. The decision was taken in a talk of three rounds. Along with farmers loan waiving announcement, some other important announcement were made related to farmers.

China Displayed its First Unmanned Attack Helicopter

China shown its first unmanned Helicopter at the northeastern Tianjin city, China. The unmanned helicopter is named as AV500W and is open for buyers from foreign countries.

The motive of the Aviation Industry Corp of China (AVIC) behind displaying the helicopter was to expand the market of the company abroad.
