Government launches Paryatan Parv to boost tourism for all

The tourism ministry on Thursday launched “Paryatan Parv” with an aim to draw more attention towards tourism in the country. The programme will last for 20 days and will showcase the benefits of tourism and cultural diversity of India. “Tourism for All” is the principle of the Paryatan Parv. As per the name programme seeks participation from all. It is organised by the Ministry of Tourism, in collaboration with other Central Ministries, State Governments and stakeholders.

The inauguration of Paryatan Parv was done at Humayun’s Tomb in New Delhi by Mahesh Sharma, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for culture in the presence of Minister of State for Tourism (Independent Charge), Alphons Kannanthanam. The programme will continue till 25th October.


Kazuo Ishiguro wins the Nobel prize in literature 2017

English novelist Kazuo Ishiguro (62) from Japan has won the Noble Prize 2017 in literature for his great work for covering the abyss beneath our illusory sense of connection with the world. His famous novels “The Remains of the Day” and “Never Let Me Go” were the main reasons behind chosing him 2017 Noble Prize Winner in literature.

Kazuo Ishiguro was born at Nagasaki of japan in 1954 and moved to UK with his family when he was just five years old. He started his writing career in 1981 and till now he has written seven novels, five short ficition works and four screenplays.


Hindi Twitter account for U-17 World Cup Launched by FIFA

FIFA – World footbal governing body has with an aim to further deepen the engagement with fans has launched a twitter account of U-17 footbal world cup in hindi language. This is the first time that India is hosting a FIFA competition.

The FIFA twitter account in Hindi can be found as @FIFAHindi. It will offer real time updates related to tournaments to fans in Hindi and will come with full details of all six venues. There are 24 teams in the U-17 World Cup who will fight for the trophy.


Pooja Kadian Becomes First Woman To Win Gold Medal at Wushu World Championships

Pooja Kadian of India has made country proud by becoming the first woman to win gold medal at Wushu World Championships. Kadian won Gold medal in 75kg women’s Sanda category by defeating Evgeniya Stepanova. In semifinal Pooja Kadian had defeated Egypt’s Heba Abdelkader 2-0. The tournament held Kazan, Russia. China has been a dominant team in the sport.

Apart from her four other Indians also won bronze medals in the tournament. The names are Rameshchandra Singh Moirangthem, Bhanu Pratap Singh, Rajinder Singh, and Arunpama Devi Keisham…..


India signs €300 million agreement with European Investment Bank for Bangalore Metro Phase II

Government of India and European Investment Bank (EIB) signed a contract to lend € 300 million (about Rs 2,293 crore) to India for the Bangalore Metro Rail Project Phase II Line R6. From India it was S. Selvakumar who signed the contract with Vice president of EIB Andrew McDowell. S. Selvakumar is Joint Secretary (BC), Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), Ministry of Finance.

The € 300 million by European Investment Bank (EIB) will be given in parts and first tranche was signed yesterday on 6 October, 2017……
