India’s first mission to study the Sun scheduled for 2019

India will be launching its first mission to study Sun in 2019 from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. The mission will be launched to improve the understandings regarding dynamical processes of the sun. It will also be helpful in resolving some of the outstanding questions in solar physics.

The solar mission will be lauched through PSLV- XL launch vehicle. Launched satellite will be having six payloads and will be placed into the halo orbit around the Lagrangian point 1 (L1) of the Sun-Earth system.

The space agency is working on doubling its satellite launches in next year. Currently it is launching eight to nine in a year and expecting to launch 20 per year.


Andhra Bank Launches scheme to push Entrepreneurship

The scheme, Pattabhi Sitaramayya has been launched by Andhra Bank Launches scheme to push Entrepreneurship. the new scheme is for self-help groups (SHGs) to encourage entrepreneurship. It was launched on the birth anniversary of its founder Bhogaraju Pattabhi Sitaramayya, and the Silver Jubilee of the SHG-Bank linkage programme in the country.

Under this scheme, Andhra Bank will provide loans to self-help groups (SHGs) who have been connected with bank for last five years and have completed three credit rotations with good repayment record.


India is World’s Second Largest Fish Producer

India is second in the world in terms of fish production. The announcement was made by Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh while he was addressing a conference on the occasion of World Fisheries Day in New Delhi. The overall fish production in India has been increased by 18.86% in comparison to the last three years.


India and Russia to provide visa free entry for flight crew members

In an effort to strengthen mutual relationships, India and Russia have joined hands to provide visa free entry for flight crew members of chartered and scheduled flights in both the nations. Under the agreement, visa-free entry, stay and exit will be provided to the crew of aircraft of the designated airlines and also to other aircraft companies which are operating chartered and scheduled flights in the respective territories.


India ranks 51 on IMD Talent Rankings

In latest IMD Talent Rankings, India has been placed at 51st position out of 63 countries. The ranking was based on three parameters which were: Ability to attract, develop and retain talent.

The IMD Ranking is announced annually. Switzerland has been placed at top followed by Denmark, Belgium, Austria and Finland.
