Viswanathan Anand Wins Tal Memorial Rapid Chess Title

World rapid champion Viswanathan Anand great play is continue in faster version of the game as he won Tal Memorial Rapid Chess Title. Anand played a draw in final against Boris Gelfand of Israel. Viswanathan Anand got 6 points out of total possible nine and made four wins and four draws. He was declared winner on points. Rashid Khan Becomes Youngest Captain In International Cricket History

Rashid Khan of Afghanistan has become youngest captain in the history of International cricket. Rashid, 19 years old leg spinner is ranked at number one bowler in ICC ranking for ODIs and T20. He is also the youngest player in history to hold top place in ICC ranking for men cricketers.

Rashid now has taken 87 wickets in 38 ODIs and 47 wickets in 29 T20Is. Previously the record of youngest captain of men’s international cricket team was hold by Rajin Saleh of Bangladesh at the age of 20 years and 297 days. He had capained ODI team of Bangladesh against South Africa on September 12, 2004 in a ICC Champions Trophy match in Birmingham.

The record for youngest woman captain of international cricket team is held by England’s Arran Bindle. She led England for three ODI matches in 2001.

India’s youngest captain ever to lead international cricket team is Nawab Pataudi (India) – 21 years 77 days.


Iraq overtakes Saudi Arabia as India’s biggest Oil Supplier

Iraq has became India’s top crude oil supplier by overtaking Saudi Arabia. Iraq has supplied 38.9 million tonnes (MT) crude oil to India this financial year. India imports 80% of crude oil from foreign countries to fulfil its needs. Saudi Arabia traditionally has been the top source for crude oil for India but Iraq has overtaken it during April-January period of 2017-18 by supplying 38.9 million tonnes (MT) of oil.

India imported 184.4 MT of crude oil during the period as compared to 213.9 MT in the entire 2016-17 financial year, and 202.8 MT in 2015-16. On the other hand Iran is continue to be at third place for second consecutive year in terms of largest oil suppliers to India.


International Yoga Festival Held In Rishikesh

CM of Uttrakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated one week long International Yoga Festival (IYF) at Rishikesh. This is the 29 edition of world famous IYF being held at Parmarth Niketan of Rishikesh. The festival is attended by more than 80 saints, Yogacharya, presenters and experts from around twenty countries of world. Daily yoga classes are offered during IYF from 4 a.m. until 9:30 p.m.


India’s first Heli Taxi launched in Bengaluru, ticket cost is Rs 4,130 per seat

India started its much awaited Heli Taxi service at Bengaluru on Monday. Bengaluru’s first helicopter taxi service took off from Electronic city to Kempegowda International Airport. It was started when Ajay Kumar who is a private company executive completed the trip between Electronic City and Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in just under 15 minutes time. The trip otherwise by road takes much longer time. The heli taxi cost per seat is Rs 4,130.
