First Ever International Kala Mela Inaugurated In New Delhi

Vice president of India Shri Venkaiah Naidu Inaugurated first International kala Mela at national capital New Delhi. The first ever Kala mela has been organized by Lalit Kala Akademi and IGNCA of the Ministry of Culture. The festival was attended by more than 800 artists who had came from all over the world.


Amitabh Kant got Extension as Niti Ayog CEO

Niti Ayog Current CEO Amitabh Kant has been given an extension to his service till June 30, 2019 through an official order. Earlier Kant was appointed as CEO of NITI Ayog on 17 Feb, 2016 for two years. Amitabh Kant is an 1980 batch IAS officer from Kerala crade. He has served as Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion before being appointed as CEO of NITI Ayog.

India added one more achievement to its nuclear programme on Tuesday after Nuclear weapon carrying capability Missile Agni-I flight-tested successfully. The test was done from test range off the Odisha coast. This was the eighteenth version of Agni-I ballistic missile.

PM of India Narendra Modi inaugurated first ever global investors summit at Guwahati in Assam. On the first day of the event 160 proposal more than 64,000 crore rupees were signed by industry leader for the investments in Assam state. The summit was hosted by Assam Government.

Maharashtra state government is all set to construct Transgender Welfare Board (TWB). Maharashtra govt also made a provision of Rs. 5 crore to be utilized for the welfare of the community. With this Maharashtra will become the first state to construct Transgender Welfare Board.
