World’s smallest Mona Lisa ‘painted’ with DNA

World’s smallest copy of Italian polymath Leonardo da Vinci’s famous painting ‘Mona Lisa’ was created by scientists of California Institute of Technology in the US. They created it by using DNA. DNA origami self-assembles into large arrays with totally customised patterns, creating a sort of canvas that can display any image.


Border Security Force Adopts Ways To Curb Suicides, Depression Among Jawans

India’s largest border-guarding force BSF has started two projects for curbing problems like suicides and mental depression amongst its soldiers. A ‘wellness quotient assessment’ test in has been included in their annual medical checkup. The step will help the BSF to early detect any kind of depression among its jawans at the earliest level so that it could be treated on time to avoid any chances of suicide by the depressed jawans.

As per the senior BSF Director General KK Sharma, there have been more deaths due to heart attacks, suicides and accidents among troops rather than in operations in the past. So this kind of initiative was much needed in BSF.


PM Modi inaugurates BR Ambedkar International Centre
