Govt of Maharashtra announced Special Policy For Women Entrepreneurs

A special policy for women entrepreneurs was announced by Maharashtra government on 5th December, 2017. The policy named as “Industrial Policy for Women entrepreneurs”  have aim to give encouragement to working women in the state. As per the policy Maharashtra state Government will provide financial assistance to women entrepreneurs in the range from Rs. 15 lakh to Rs. 1 Crore for the investments in the projects at subsidized rates up to 5%.

Electricity will also be provided at cheaper rates such as about Rs. 1 to Rs.2 per unit. Currently electricity unit for industrial purpose is between Rs 7 to 8 per unit. Also there will be reserved places for women in markets, malls and at commercial places where only women will be allowed to do the business

Maharashtra has become the first state to implement such policy.

Union Government allows NGT to form one-member benches

Union Government by amending National Green Tribunal (Practices and Procedure) Rules, 2011 on December 1, 2017 has allowed National Green Tribunal (NGT) to form constitute a single-member benches.

 

 


Shamli District of Uttar Pradesh Included in NCR

Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli district was included in NCR (national capital region) by the government. Now the total number of districts in the NCR have become 23 with the addition of Shamli. The district will now be able to get all benefits of being a NCR district. All cities which are under NCR gets funding at very attractive rates of interests from National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB) for infrastructure development.


Yuvraj Singh launches UNICEF-ICC’s adolescent campaign

Indian sixer king Yuvraj Singh will be promoting a sports initiative in South Asia for youngsters arranged by UNICEF. The name of the initiative is “Power of Sports to Shape the Future of Adolescents” and is backed by ICC.

ICC CEO David Richardson on the occasion said that the partnership between UNICEF and ICC to promote sports among Adolescents and will give experience of international cricket to youngsters.


India Successfully Test Fired Akash Missile – a Home-Made Radio Frequency Seeker

India successfully test fired its indigenous built Akash Missile on Tuesday (5-12-2017). This is for the first time that a home-made radio frequency seeker missile has been test fired by India. It will be inducted into Indian Army in the category of Short Range Surface to Air Missile (SRSAM).


Supreme Court Allowed Trump to Implement latest Muslim travel ban go into full effect

President Donald Trump got a victory in the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday as the court allowed him to implement his latest travel ban on Muslims from six countries to USA. The six countries whose people have been baned to travel to USA are Chad, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria and Yemen.


Madhya Pradesh Assembly Passes Bill On Death Penality For Rape Of Girls 12 And Below

Madhya Pradesh Assembly has unanimously passed a bill related to giving death penalty for victims raping girls under the age of 12 years on Tuesday. With this MP has become first state to implement death plenalty person raping 12 years or below aged girl.

The bill was introduced by Law and Legislative Affairs Minister Rampal Singh and was discussed in details with all parties including opposition before being passed.
