Skill development ministry and Maruti Suzuki signed an agreement

Skill development ministry have signed an agreement with largest car seller of country Maruti Suzuki for providing training to young generation so as to increase their employment potential. The agreement was signed with the Directorate General of Training (DGT) that comes under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship. Under the agreement Maruti Suzuki will provide placements to at least 80 per cent of trainees with Maruti Suzuki or its business partners.


Uttar Pradesh Government Scraps Free Pilgrimage Scheme For Elders

Uttar Pradesh government has taken decision to Scrap the free Pilgrimage Scheme For Elders which was started by Akhilesh Yadav headed Smamajwadi Party in 2015 when he was CM of UP. Under the scheme “Shravan Yatra” all elders from Hindu community of Uttar Pradesh were provided free pilgrimage. It included all expenses starting of boarding and loading.


Agreement signed between Andhra Pradesh government and Alphabet X for Fibergrid project

Andhra Pradesh government has signed an agreement with the moonshot factory of Alphabet (earlier Google) to provide faster internet through the government Fibergrid project. IT minister of Government of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Lokesh signed on the agreement at Mountain View headquarters of Alphabet.

This agreement of AP government with moonshot factory of Alphabet is first of its kind. It will provide very high internet speeds up to 20Gbps covering a distance of up to 20kms.


France Government passed law to ban all oil and gas production by 2040

There will be no exploration and production of oil and natural gas in France after 2040. The France’s parliament has approved a law regarding the ban of such activities in the country. As per the banning law all exploration and production of oil and natural gas after 2040 within the country and its overseas territories will be illegal.


Shree Saini from Washington becomes Miss India USA 2017

Twenty one years old Washington state resident Shree Saini has been crowned as Miss India USA 2017. Saini is currently studying at University of Washington. Indian Railways to make All Stations 100% LED lit by March 2018

In a move to reduce electricity consumptions at railway Stations, Indian Railways has made a plan to make all its stations 100% LED lit by 31 March 2018 by replacing traditional lamps with LEDs. Light Emitting Diodes or LEDs have a longer lifespan and will consumes less energy as compared to normal lights which are currently used at most of the railway stations.

 


World Bank provides loans of $125 m for STRIVE project

World Bank will be providing a loan of amount US $125 million equivalent to around Rs. 800 crore to India for the STRIVE project of India for skill development. The agreement regarding the world Bank Loan for STRIVE project was signed between the World Bank and Finance Ministry on 19 December, 2017.
