China to restore its bullet train speed back to 350 Kmph

China started to restore its world’s fastest bullet train running 350 Kmph from Beijing to Shanghai. The country had reduced the speed of the train back in six years due to an accident which caused 40 people to dead.

A ‘Fuxing’ bullet train, which will be having a high speed, left Beijing South Railway Station at 9:00am local time (1 am GMT) for Shanghai, reported state-run Xinhua news agency. With such a high speed, Beijing-Shanghai journey is to be cut to 4 hours 28 minutes.

The new bullet trains is also called electric different units (EMU), gloat a best speed of 400 kilometers in an hour and produces a consistent speed of 350 kilometres per hour. The Fuxing has a 30-year life, 10 years more than the current model, and utilises 10 percent less power while running at 350kph.

‘Fuxing’ which also means revival, registered its presence on the China’s busiest route which is used by 5, 05, 000 travellers on daily basis. The whole train is designed and made exclusively in China.

Earlier in August 2008, China had started to run the first train at this speed but the country lowered down the speed after a collision between two trains that happened in 2011 in which 40 individuals were killed and harmed was done to more than 190 individuals. Then the speed was reduced to 250-300 km/h.

The New train includes very advanced technology and monitoring system. It has the capability to slow down automatically in case of any emergencies and abnormal conditions. More advanced shock and crash energy absorption equipment is used in the train to avoid damages and fatalities.
