India test fired nuclear-capable ICBM Agni-V

Last Thursday India test fired nuclear-capable ICBM Agni-V missile in the morning. This was first pre induction trial of 5,000-km range Agni-V. The Agni-V is a intercontinental ballistic missile with a range of 5,000-km. It will be inducted into defence. The Agni-V missile stiking capability covers whole of Asia and China as well parts of Europe and Africa.

Odisha govt Introdueces Mukhyamantri Kalakar Sahayata Yojana for artists

Odhisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched a new scheme Mukhyamantri Kalakar Shayata Yojna (MMKSJ) aimed at providing assistance to the artists of the state. There are approximately 50,000 artists in the Odisha state who will be benefited with this scheme of financial help. As per the scheme, state government of Odhisha will provide a monthly help of Rs. 1200 to the artists. Government has also made chenges to eligibility criteria to avail the MMKSJ scheme so that the benefit could reach up to more number of artists.


SEBI approved Vijay Kumar as NCDEX MD and CEO

India’s market regulator SEBI has approved the appointment of Vijay Kumar as NCDEX Managing Director and CEO. NCDEX is Indias biggest agri-commodity bourse. Earlier kumar has been associated with NCDEX as its Chief Business Officer. He has also worked for Cargil and National Bulk Handling Corporation.

There were total 11 persons names in the list but Kumar was selected finally.


India attends its first SCO military cooperation meeting

India has attended international military cooperation departments of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) for the first time. India has joined the SCO recently last year. Indian delegation was lead by Major General Ajay Seth. Ajay participated in the meeting and discussed the problems faced in cooperation among all SCO countries.


India-Sri Lanka Signed 4 Agreements for ICT Sector Collaboration

Four agreements have bee signed recently between India and its neighbouring country Sri Lanka for collaboration in Information and communication technology (ICT) sector. The mutual cooperation MoU was singned by Ravi Shankar Prashad from India with his counter part from Sri Lanka in Colombo.


Actor Sudhir Dalvi got Janakavi P Sawlaram award

Famous actor Sudhir Dalvi was honoured with Janakavi P Sawlaram award by Mayor of Thane city, Meenakshi Shinde. Popular dancer Jaishree T was awarded with Ganga Jamuna award which is given in the memory of a popular song written by Sawlaram.
