Blackberry Sued FaceBook for Stealing Technology

Blackberry sued Facebook, Instagram and whatsapp for stealing its features and technology of messenger services. According to Blackberry, the company has stolen its features like innovative security and user interface from its patent-protected BBM service.

Facebook on the other hand has decided to fight the lawsuit.


India’s Membership Approved by European Development Bank

India is going to become member of European Development Bank as the EDB has approved its membership. India will be 69th member of bank. All current shareholders of the bank gave their nod to India’s candidature. India now have to purchase shares of the bank estimated cost of around 1 million euros as a part of formal membership process. EBRD’s Board of Governors representing all existing shareholders of European Development Bank shown their interest in India to be a member and casted their votes in favour of India.


Forbes Billionaires List 2018: Amazon’s Bezos Richest, Mukesh Ambani Ranked 19

Forbes Magazine list of billionaires 2018 is out and it is Amazon founder Jeff Bezos who is at the top of the list. Jeff is having total worth of worth $110 billion. Bill gates who is founder of Microsoft is at second place with net worth of $90 billion. Facebook founder Mark Zukerberg is at fifth place in the list. As far as Indian rich person in the list is concerned, it is Indian industry titan and chairman of Reliance Industries Limited Mukesh Ambani who is at 19th place with net worth of $40.1 billion.

Neiphiu Rio appointed as Nagaland Chief Minister

Senior leader from NDPP party Neiphiu Rio was appointed as new Chief Minister of Nagaland. Nagaland Governor P B Acharya confirmed his appointment after receiving support letters in his favour from MLAs of BJP, JD (U) and an Independent besides NDPP legislators. Rio has been given time till March 16 to prove his majority on floor of the House on or before March 16. Neiphiu is going to replace TR Zeliang.


RBI Slaps Penalty On Axis Bank And Indian Overseas Bank

Reserve Bank of India has imposed penalties on two banks, Axis Bank and Indian Overseas Bank for not following rules and guidelines under two different conditions. Axis bank has been fined for Rs. 3 crore for the violation of Non-Performing Asset (NPA) classification norms. While state run Indian Overseas Banks was found to be violating Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations and was fined for Rs. 2 crore.


MS Dhoni Becomes Brand Ambassador Of Gaming Platform Dream 11

Former Indian cricket team captain and current player MS Dhoni has been made brand ambassador by Gaming Platform Dream 11. Dhoni will be the main face for gaming platform’s multi-channel marketing campaigns and brand engagement activities. Dream 11 company has user base more than 2 crores who plays games developed by them like fantasy cricket, football, kabaddi and NBA.


Center sanctioned Rs. 1000 crore for Research and Innovations

A grant of Rs. 1000 sanctioned by center government for the second phase of IMPRINT (Impacting Research Innovation and Technology) India programme. It was announced by Parkash Javedkar (Union Minister for HR and Development) on 6th of March, 2018 while attending Visitors conference at New Delhi.

IMPRINT (Impacting Research Innovation and Technology) was started in 2015 jointly by Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), Indian Institute of Science (IIS). Its aim is to identify areas of society that need innovation, high funding for research which impacts people standards of living.
