Assam Police Selection Process

Selection procedure for constables posts in Assam police will go pass from three rounds. Physical test will be first part of process followed by physical efficiency test. Then written test will be the final measure of selection. All these steps are explained in deep for candidates convenience.

Assam Police Physical Test

After all documents send by applicants while applying are found to be correct, police department will call candidates for next round which is Assam police physical standard test. Please note that it will carry no marks. It will only be qualifying in nature as per recruitment notification. Under the test invited candidates’ height as per Assam Police constable Height requirement, weight and chest (only males) will be measured. Then passed candidates will further be examined using latest technology for like knock knee, vision test, colour blindness test, flat foot, varicose vein, physical deformities etc. After a candidate successfully pass physical measurement test for constable selection in Assam police then he/she will be called for next PET (Physical Efficiency Test).

For Males:

  1. Race of distance 3.2 Km. Assam Police Running time allotted for boys will be 14 minutes or 840 seconds.
  2.  Long Jump : Minimum height of jump should be 335 cm. Three chances will be given.

For Females: 

  1. Race of distance 1600 mtrs. Assam Police Running time allotted for girs will be 08 minutes.
  2.  Long Jump : Minimum height of jump should be 244 cm. Three chances will be given.

Assam constable Physical Test Marks:

Running Marks:  20 marks maximum based on time taken to complete race.

High Jump Marks: 20 mark maximum based on height of jump.

Written Test

Those candidates who successfully passed both Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical efficiency test (PET) will then be invited for Assam police written exam for constables posts. The pattern and scheme of exam will be such that total 100 questions on OMR sheet will be asked. Each question will carry half mark. Candidates please note that there will be no negative marking. So applicants can attempt all questions.
